Technically Musketeer drivers and their guests will float through downtown Portland on Saturday September 20th while the BEECH AERO CLUB finishes up an exciting BACFest 2014 Portland Celebration. If you haven't been to BACfest or a Club event we cordially invite you to join us for the weekend of Sept 17th thru 21st.
Here are some questions and answers .
* What does it cost ? $85 a member or guest $100 after Sept. 1st . (please disregard my earlier comment of member / guest pricing about the past BACfests. It was member/non member pricing not member guest )
* What is included ?
* BACFEST 2014 T-shirt ( logo design by our very talented Rick Koch)
Thursday Sept 18th.
* Tour of the Evergreen Museum (hopefully will include cockpit photo in the Spruce Goose) .
Friday Sept 19th
* Workshop seminars @ the Fort Vancouver Pearson Field Education Center .
9am - 1130 am ( morning meet and greet with fellow BAC members to discuss several of the items available to our A/C along with sources for parts along with some vendors )
1130 -1pm Lunch (provided by BAC)
1pm-330pm Hands on seminar in the hangar with a few folks familiar with our type a/c ( we will go over things to look for during annual, inspection spots and anything brought up)We will have members aircraft on hand.
330-430 pm arrival and demonstration of a beautifully restored AT6 Texan
430 pm Raffle of attendees to see who gets to go up that afternoon in the AT6. ( prize provided by Aircraft and Marine Insurance)
possible evening gathering
Saturday Sept 20th
1 pm (Hilton hotel Vancouver) all guests are treated to a Lunch Buffet (trip advisor rates the food as #1 out of 587 restaurants in Vancouver)and invited to join in the 2014 Beech Aero Club General meeting .
645 -930 pm All guests will be boarding our privately chartered "The Crystal Dolphin" aka "The Floating Mouse" for our Beech Aero Club Banquet and dinner. 2 1/2 hr dinner cruise with prizes, awards and special guest speaker This 85 'vessel underwent an extensive remodel, modifying and upgrading the three interior decks. The galley is headed by Executive Chef Shawn Smith and manned by a talented staff handles onboard meal preparation.
Note : BACfest 2015 will be announced . One lucky member will be going on a $1000 dream flight getaway .One will be getting a GO PRO Camera. All MEMBERS will receive a commemorative coin .
