BACFest 2020

I'll bump this up again.
You must talk to the hotel directly to get the BACFest discount at the number below.

For hotel bookings:
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tullahoma
Address: 2030 N Jackson St, Tullahoma, TN 37388, United States
Phone: +1 931-222-1414
Codename: Beechcraft Fly-in
Rate = $115USD/night w/Breakfast

Unfortunately the central booking agency for Holiday Inn cannot process this discount as it was arranged directly with the hotel. (at considerable savings over the regular rate). Please be patient and I know the girls will do the very best to accommodate you when you call. As with all hotel front desks, you may catch them at one of those busy times where they may ask you to please call back.
Remember, flexibility is the key to air power......at least that's what they tell us at the USAF Academy.....

I am registered for BACFest and booked at the Hotel as a backup. When I fly in for Beech Party and staying overnight I always camp by the plane. That is my plan this year as well. With many of the activities taking place on the field that just makes sense. If the weather doesn't cooperate then the Hotel is where I will stay. I plan to fly to Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge (KGKT) on Wednesday. Then either make the hop over to KTHA later that day or on Thursday. See you all there!

Hotel reservation made for Thurs - Sunday. Hoping weather will cooperate in October and we will stretch the Sierra's legs on Thursday after work and make it non stop.

Can someone put a sticky on this post? Perhaps unstick the last years BACFest?

Check the BACFest announcement in the yellow box below.
Item #12.

I think Tullahoma is still in Tennessee.
VA is a different state.

Peter and Leili now have hotel bookings. Let's just cross our fingers that we will be past this COVID challenge by then.

I registered for BACFest and reserved a hotel room at the Holiday Express this morning. The lady taking my hotel reservation told me we got the last room for that time period. Kathryn and I are looking forward to seeing everyone after being locked down for the last couple months.

Margie and I just registered at the Holiday Inn Express, Tullahoma for BACFest 2020.

We are booked for October 13 through October 19. Our event is 14-17.
There was no mention of a shortage of rooms.
Here though, is a warning...
When the hotel answers, immediately tell them that your reservation is for a block event "Beechcraft".
Talk to general manager Stephanie if you can.
Avoid getting transferred to the reservation call center.
You will not understand their spoken words and they are unable to process to our block group.

Got my reservations one day before Tom - - no mention of limited availability

Yep - - what Tom said - - - all of it (the reservation center was the low point). Sheese. But I called one day ahead of Tom (winner!). I am arriving on 14th, departing on 18th. Fun times ahead! Can't wait to see all of you again.

Might try camping if the weather is nice .....

Nelson

So Tullahoma sent an email out couple days ago saying that BeechParty 2020 is a 50/50 chance of happening this year
So my question is if no BeechParty at Tullahoma where does BACFEST 2020 Stand ?

Hello Fred , So far we are a go BACfest 2020 .The museum is monitoring everything for Beech Party .The note from the museum was a go/ no go decision end of July /Mid August . The BAC 2020 plan is still full steam ahead with registration and Hotel booking . If we hear differently from the Museum or State of Tennessee with will adjust accordingly.

Those that have booked their rooms already should also register with us on our link . ( payment isn't due but it will help our count in planning ) A lot of work is being put into this and it will help with the organization.

The BACFest Activities Questionnaire asks how many will be attend the Thursday activities. What are they, other than the George Dickel lunch and tour? I can't find an agenda.

Please register with us on the link ( you do not have to pay yet) That way we can get a count which will help with planning. We have several events that are calling for a head count . If you are late in making your decision some items might not be available . Help us so that isn't a problem.

It is not allowing me to register without paying as well.

Peter and Leili Foster are hoping to attend BACfest, but I don't see the point in paying at this time as I fear cross-border travel restrictions may still be in place.
