Nelson will be publishing an updated map of pilots signed in to date
Looks great
Vacant areas starting to fill in
Could use someone or more in Oregon/Washington State areas -
Thanks for everyone pitching in !!
Getting close to putting first pilot into the air í ¾í´ž
Attempt to map out locations of relay pilots - - - -
Just a minor contributing member for this effort .... but here is what I have for the team:
- map of current volunteers (version 002). Looks like I will be heading west and buying Simon lunch in New Mexico (?). Ideally, each pilot can land at the next person's home field, drop off the item, and reduce the coordination requirements of a displaced meeting airport. We'll see .... with hopefully more persons stepping forward.
- the pilot list I used is attached (I went to airport info in AirNav for zip codes). Some didn't make the map (see the yellow high-lites or the missing zip codes). Sorry.
Fred will manage the route and flight order of states. Excellent effort !!
Include a blank page book (aka - Walmart ofc supplies area?). Each contributing pilot puts a photo of the bag/box in front of something fun (mine will be the Alamo in the background) onto a page, with a short hand written note. Sweet !
Nelson -Great minds think alike !
I have a BAC Banner and a leather Journal Book that will be handed off from pilot to pilot
Each pilot will sign banner and list his route
The each pilot will have his own page in the journal to do alittle write up of his time
Something as simple as time, date, Route and anything else they would like to write- no limit !!
Along with any photos they would like to attach
At the end we will summarize and give to our President (JP) for Posterity!!!
41 pilots today
Only about 2/3 have sent emails and or phone numbers to my pm or cellular phone
3059865672
Also looking to start mid November so could use participation from Al, La, Ms
Thanks Again
Moving along pretty good—please keep it up !
Getting ready to pick a Relay Start date in next few days and would love to have someone from South Carolina and Kentucky, and Al, Ms and La on board before we start, If Possible!!
So if you know of anyone in any of those states could you see if they might like to join in .
If not we will employ some pilots to pull multiple states
Thanks
Fred

For the AL-MS-La leg (or any combo thereof) free post buy inspection at KALX. I'm mobile enough to get to the airport and bac. Bring a yellow pad, pencil, and barf bag.
