Across the USA-flight relay

I think the plan is for me to move it to Circle W in Pennsylvania where the BAC Musketeer is being painted, and then fly it to Tullahoma.

I've seen pictures of the Musketeer, and it's beautiful.

I flew from w13 to VA61 where Les Gawlik met me for the handoff and he crossed the Mason-Dixon line into Maryland to MTN!IMG_1659.jpgIMG_1662.jpgIMG_1663.jpg

Way to go Alan and Wes

Keepit moving!!

if someone ends up with banner etc and is coming to Tullahoma ( by any mode of transportation) bring with you and we will get everyone present to sign then get it back on its path

Thsnks Again to everyone making the effort to make this Relay Happen !!

BACer Bear and the Football, handcuffed to my wrist, made it to PA72 this evening.  The handoff was made to Bob Prange, who will fly BACer Bear on the BAC Musketeer to Tullahoma, assuming Bob relents and agrees to give BACer Bear the the right number of Frequent Flyer miles.  These airline guys are getting tougher and tougher.

Photos were taken in front of the club plane as it was receiving its finishing touches.  Those photos have been put on an SD card and placed in a peanut butter sandwich left at a dead drop in West Virginia. Oh wait, these pictures are REALLY secret, meaning only Bob, Barry, and the NSA have seen them.

I am under an NDA regarding the plane, but I will bet there will be lots of "Ooohs" and "Ahhs" when you see it.

It was not that the picture deserved to be vertical that bothered me, it was that up here, we are wearing parkas.

The shadows do look long however - that I recognize - assume the picture was taken about noon or so?

Again, to make the jpg bigger, left click on the link in the box below the jpg and then one can again click on the picture that appears to get it even bigger such that you can read the signatures written on the banner.

2:30 pm was when I landed. Estimate picture take at 3pm ET.

nice and toasty warm in the Musketeer.

So you flew it from THA to your home field. Did you then fly it to Ken in CT or did he meet you somewhere?

Thanks to Rob Staab the relay has reached the Northeast Region.

New Jersey and Connecticut are done. We are making a plan to touch each of our remaining 7 states. As we are adjacent to the new Canada East region we may blend them into our relay travels.

Present plan is Connecticut to Rhode Island to Massachusetts. For now we are open to suggestions for New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania. These places are relatively close and we have many active members there and offers to help.

Stay tuned.

Are these Air Bosses or Mafia Bosses?

Can someone list out the airports after Circle W Airfield, PA (PA72) in order, please? I'm having trouble deciphering the messages.

As a reminder, when you report in please include the airport name, state, and the identifier just like they are on the map. This makes it super efficient to update the map without my having to do research.

As I understand it:

PA72 (PA)> W90 (VA) Bob Prange (Emergency Landing)

W90 > KTHA (TN) John Persinger with Bob Prange

KTHA > KFWN (NJ) Robert Staab

KFWN > KLZD (CT) Robert Staab (Passed to Ken Cook)

Thanks. Odd how this is so hard.

There was mention of BLM in there too. I went ahead and updated the map using your list but left a marker on BLM too for now.

The bear got two stops in NJ.

FWN and BLM

BLM for just a brief stop at the beach for R&R. All this traveling is exhausting.

Looking good.. I am envious! Enjoy the rest of your Journey!

This is a relay a bunch of us are participating in for fun. The objective is to touch all 48 CONUS. There are a few items handed off at each stop.

At the rate it's moving, hopefully you'll have a plane when it gets to the Midwest. I'm at Lake of the Ozarks often. It'd be cool if you could hand off to me there. We are slim on participants in the Midwest.
