I read in aviation news today an article about a gala event for the Wichita Aero Club on Saturday, Jan. 25th. The cost is $150 for non-members and $125 for members. There is very little informationon their web site as to what this gala consists of, but I wanted to make Beech Aeroclub members aware of it. The club has been in existence since 2008 and this is the first I have heard of it. I am hoping some of you can enlighten me.
I am posting this as there is not much time untill the deadline for registration which is Jan. 10th. This sounds like it could be interesting although pricey. They are going to give their annual award to Cessna Chairman Emeritus Russ Meyer. Here is the article for the news:

The Wichita Aero Club’s annual gala is scheduled for Jan. 25 at the Doubletree Hilton Wichita Airport.
The event features the presentation of the Aero Club Trophy, which will be awarded to Russ Meyer, chairman emeritus of Cessna Aircraft Co.
Meyer led Cessna for more that 25 years as its CEO and is one of the most recognizable figures in Wichita’s aviation history.
Reservations for the event close Jan. 10 and can be made online.
