Who Is Coming To BAC Fest ** And Another Reason to come **

Folks need to realize that they need to register for BAC Fest AND make a hotel reservation.

Some people have registered for BAC Fest but have not made a hotel reservation (they may be planning to stay elsewhere) and some people have made a hotel reservation but have NOT registered for BAC Fest.

The $25@ early registration for BAC Fest ends at the end of the month. After that it's $40 a head.

Just looking over the schedule for BAC Fest, I see that Powerflow demo is at the Mariott. Is the sundowner with powerflow and wheel pants still going to be there for demos?

At last report the Power Flow Sundowner will be at BAC Fest providing a good look at their system and the wheel pants. Demo flights will take place at KBEC (Beech Factory Field) which is right across the street from the Mariott. We moved the demo flights to Beech field because as accommodating as as the Mariott has been, they would not let us use their parking lot for take offs and Landings :D

To my knowledge the exhaust STC is only for the Sundowner (and possibly 180 hp Musketeer). Don't think there are any plans for an exhaust for the Sierra. The wheel pants are supposed to be for any fixed gear Mouse, and obviously no wheel pants for the Sierra.

Mike R may have more info.

Digger,

Just ran DUAT. Looks like BLF to SIK is 400 miles and almost due west for you. It'll be 257 miles for me slightly southwesterly. We'll hope for no headwind. :D

Anyone else coming from the east is welcome to meet up with Digger and me at Sikeston, MO for lunch. Going to Lambert's for some of their fine country cookin' and their famous throwed rolls! ETA around noon central time on Wednesday, Aug. 16. If you can't make lunch, we'll meet you in the Marriott lounge for much needed cocktails after flying all day!

If Paula and the pooch are with me, I'll have to make one stop. Otherwise, lacking any headwind, I'd normally go non-stop. Any headwind at all would force a fuel stiop.

I'm pretty sure that we are slated to fly up on Wednesday 8/16. I reckon I'll plan to meet for lunch, with or without the other aircrew. The odds of no effective headwind are probably slim to none.

Last year's trip to Gaston's was 30+ headwind all the way. Hope this year is very little wind situation. Mike hope you and any others will join us. A lunch experience well worth a little out of the way.

Registration

Right now it looks like I'll be bringing one of my partners in the Sundowner to BAC Fest. Two questions: Did I mis-interpret the statement about the $25 registration fee for the BAC member and anyone else in the airplane? I first read it as a $25 fee for the plane load, but now I'm not sure that is correct.
Second question; I've already registered, so how do I add a second name to my registration?

What's the latest attendee count?

Last attendee count is 31 registered, some bringing a second person for a total of 49 attendees. It is 25 per attendee for registrations before Aug 1. Since you registered before Aug 1 you can add a second by sending the name of the second attendee along with your check to
