Climbing to Cruise
I;ve just gotten off the phone with Plane Plastics...They are willing to cast a mold and make the windshield trim for our planes. They will usemine as as the base. Price will be in the neighborhood of $115. I am trying to get additional part numbers for all the other plastic trim in our planes....I specifically need part numbers for a 1971 M1313. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. By the way, does anyone know if the interior trim pieces that are shown in their catalog will work on my airplane. It seems the part numbers they show, are geared towards M1419 and above....Thanks again. :lol:

Thanks guys, I sent an email to Mike, but I know he is extremelybusy this week with work.....Hope to hear from him soon. My parts manual is VERY scarce on part numbers for interior trim....Hopefully he will have some insite!!! :o

Sorry, I found no reference for those numbers in my books.

Which piece exactly? Is it the one with the air vent? I could use both sides for my Super III

Thanks Bill, maybe mike will have better luck than the both of us!!!! I may just end up pulling it all off and looking for part numbers!!! :oops:

I looked through my parts catalog and the only part numbers I could find for windshield trim did not appear compatible with your aircraft serical number.

Could you post a photo of the part you need help with?

Hey Chris thanks for checking!!!! That is the same problem everyone is having!!! The pieces that I need part numbers for are the window trim pieces...M1313 only has a door on the right side. The numbers I need are for the trim around the 3 windows on the left, and 2 windows on the right. The problem is that the numbers aren't listed in the beech book, and the parts that plane plastics has for sale are for airframes 1490 and higher I think. The problem with those are the top of the trim, they aren't as tall as mine in my plane. Plane plastics have already told me they can cast new ones which would fit, but would like part numbers so they could market them, after they cast so new plastic for my airplane. they have already agreed to cast the windshield trim from my plane. Most of the plastic was damaged when I was handling it in the process of removing tghe old sceet tubing.....By the way, I've already asked Mike R. but he hasn't had a chance to answer-I assume he is still very busy with annuals this week. Does anyone know how to reemove the big black knob in the plane that secures the door on the right hand side, above the co-pilots head. The parts book, and maintenance manual doe not discuss this, but mentions a pin....I have tried, and have not been able to remove this knob. This knob must come off to remove the trim, to remove the sceet behind the door pillar......Thanks everyone for all the responses....

The p/n wouldn't by chance be stamped on the back of the trim would it?? Have you had the trim out of the airplane and looked it over??
 
Here is the response from Beech Tech Support on the window trim for M1313. None show up as being available in RAPID. If I turn up any errors in the numbers, I'll update this post. I am a bit suspicious about the numbers, for a couple of reasons, and have asked for a re-check.

Mike, you are correct about the IPC; it seems to jump over M-1313. However, by going to the actual upholstery installation drawing 169-530004-9 for this serial number aircraft, it appears that the cabin door moldings are P/N 169-534072-8 and 169-534072-9. The side-wall molding from fuselage station 132.0 to 181.0 is P/N 169-534062-13 and 169-534062-14.

FOLLOW-UP ON FEBRUARY 13

I have received some drawing data that seems to partially support the above-listed part numbers. However, I still think that they are in error (or have been superseded, or both). All of the 1970 and later C23s I have seen have all had the small LH baggage door. All have had a one-piece window trim aft of the cabin doors, on both LH and RH sides. The 169-534062 part number prefix only shows up in one place in the IPCs, for a Sierra. If I owned a 1970 or later C23, I would first try using the Vantage Plane Plastics (formerly Kinzie) trim for both sides. It is available at planeplastics.com. Their part numbers are:
K169-534092-13 (LH, about $235)
K169-534092-14 (RH, about $206)
