May be a bit late starting this, but with a new thread it may be easier to update.  Thanks Candy for posting all the registered attendees in the main thread.  On this thread, we can update arrivals and lodging.

Notam: Runway 06/24 closed October 13 1700 to 2100.  With prevailing winds that will put the roll out right at the museum.

Anyone know why the runway will be closed?  Parking planes on the runway?

Once again, life has gotten into the way of BACfest. I'm sad to say that Jane and I will not be able to attend after all. I hope everyone has a great time.

Well, looking at the weather forecast for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday there won't be any way that a VFR pilot will be able to fly through the front to get to TN from IA.  Since I have to go to school on Thursday we won't be able to depart until Friday AM.  Flying would be ok, but that pretty much eliminates a 12 hour drive.  I am going to cancel the room reservation at the Holiday Inn Express, so there maybe an opening if someone wants it.

We are pretty blue about not being able to make it, we had a string of 7 BACFests in a row that we attended.  Everyone have a great time and we will see you at BACFest 2022.

Kathryn & Denis.

Hoping to arrive by 11 am on Thursday morning VFR out of KDTS (Destin FL) if the clouds will allow. Feel free to chime in if you think that may become questionable.

Might be able to make a run at it tomorrow afternoon if needed!

Fred & Stephie Culleton

Peter & Leili Foster have arrived

The Canadians, a Georgian and a Texan are holding down the Fort till the rest of you get here.

The question about Rwy 06/24 is simple. That runway becomes a taxiway to access aircraft parking during the week.
See y’all when you get here.

Good Morning

I have "the Beast"!  a 15 passenger van, currently in Franklin TN, 24 miles South of Nashville.  Planning on leaving here, driving to Tullahoma around noon, unless i could assist with early arrivals into Nashville or elsewhere to bring along.

If you need anything, please contact me by text at 541-693-4530.

See everyone soon.

John

Arrived at 10:55am local.  Late start LIFR at KMQJ waited for the fog to lift some.  Encountered IMC on the way down.  Good flight and some actual.  VFR approach to a landing.

All constructive criticism welcomed. Just take it easy on the new guy! LOL

Linda and I arrived Wednesday evening.  We've been on the road since last Friday and enjoyed Branson and Nashville.  Looking forward to seeing all of you Thursday.

I am sad to share that Candy and I will miss BACFest this year. Candy’s sister is having surgery this week and she’s helping out there. My mother just came out of the hospital but may be going back in today or tomorrow.

On top of that the airplane is down. It just been one of those that has dragged out with the shop as they are crazy busy. We’ve got one deferred repair that has come time to resolve that is going to be a pain in the a** bit of work (corrosion on the FS68 frame by the pilot’s fresh air intake). This is the first year we haven’t booked backup tickets or been close enough for a one day drive. Four days of driving would have been a challenge on schedules. But that being said it probably wouldn’t have made a difference with what’s going on, Candy’s committed to help her sister and I need to be close enough to get to Rochester with my Mom on short notice.

So after 14 straight BACFests for me (and almost as many for Candy) we’re both going to miss this one. Brad wins the streak contest – although he was really one ahead anyway, we were a year late to miss the first not yet a BACFest get together. After the gap in 2020 it is especially bittersweet that it will be another year to see our our fellow BACers, but family needs call.

Have fun, be safe, and we’ll see you all next year.

Mark & Candy,  So sorry to hear all the health issues your loved ones are having.  We hope and pray that they have a speedy and complete recovery.  Also sorry that we won't seen you at BACFest this year, but, since you're based at Anoka County Airport in north Minneapolis near where our son, Andy, lives and works, we will have to schedule a fly-in there after things settle down for you.  If not a fly-in, at least a lunch.  Will let you know when we are coming to KANE next time and hope we can work something out.
