BACFest 2017 Sold Out! More Rooms Added

Our original block of 40 rooms at $109 has been filled.

The hotel has added 7 more rooms at that price. The response is excellent for BACFest 2017 to say the least.

More than half the members are adding extra days to enjoy the area amenities. If we have to add a second hotel to the convention, undoubtedly each room will cost more.

Fair warning!

Tom, this is a testament to the great selection of a site and the people responsible for BF17!!! Looking forward to being there, and glad I got my room early.

ps: Is the sold out situation a wickedpissah?

Rap,

To get the extra rooms and keep the same club price of $109 will cost me some precious 100LL.

The young woman who does the hotel's group booking said she would be happy for an airplane ride - if she could bring her husband along.
I'm sure they'll BOTH enjoy the flight!

Presently I'm seeing most hotels here start at $169 per night.

Yes, it's wicked pissah!

I have changed the site for our Saturday evening BACFest banquet. We out grew the room that we had arranged at the hotel.
Now we will be enjoying a wonderful function room in a gorgeous mansion built by a very wealthy whaling captain in the middle 1800's.

This is in the center of New Bedford about 2 miles from the Hampton Inn. An impressive location.

Breakfasts will be in Fairhaven at the hotel. Lunches will be in Newport, Rhode Island and on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The other formal dinner will be on the waterfront among the hundreds of trawlers that make up the fishing fleet.

Soon I am going to be forced to extinguish the fires I'm lighting under the procrastinators who have not reserved rooms for BACFest 2017.
The event may get too big to be easily managed. Right now, with a count nearing 100, it is perfect.

Great job Tom! I am looking forward to the biggest and best yet!
If any new members are sitting on the fence wondering if this is worth the trip, the answer is definitely yes! Meeting so many of these pilots is great! And what a chance to walk around and see so many mice. The maintenance clinics are usually more informative than hours of videos.
