Flight Levels
Fantastic job by Denis, Kathryn, Jim, Valerie, Matt, Sandra and Tommy, plus the officers and board members who approved the club funds to support BACFest 2015. Everyone received well beyond the $85 registration fee we paid!
After enduring a 20 minute hold for release at the end of the runway for two incoming IFR jets, Ann and I finally launched. At 5,000' we were mostly between layers but the winds kept our ground speed in the mid to upper 90s most of the way. After stopping for a late lunch, we arrived home around 5:30pm.
Nelson, you wonder why the ceilings began to rise around noon? Steve Cote was on the commercial flight that left town around 11:30am!
For all those that stayed at Hilton Garden Inn or had to change hotels on Saturday, be sure to book your Branson room early.
