BAC Birthday Bash at 1L0

Around The Moon
This Fourth of July will be BAC's fifth birthday.

I know it's still 10 days off or so but I'm trying to start a headcount of who may show so I'll now how many burgers to burn and how big a birthday cake we'll need.

Can I see a show of hands (show one for any guest that may tag along).

You need to sweeten the pot with a celebratory hat offering. BAC logo with 5 Years on the front, and a flying crayfish on the back (honorary Aero Center model, since we are incorporated down there...).

Wish I could get there. But I can't, for a number of reasons. Hopefully some others can go hand-fly a cold drink (or ten) for me.

Bill, come on over.

I just checked. You'll rack up 19 PT points.

But at least you'll be on the board,

IF IT EVER GETS UPDATED.

BAC birthday is now three days off.

I've heard from Bo and Sandra Boggs that they plan on attending.

Bill Manhein has paid lip service but not sure if he's past that.

Mike Earrey has expressed some interest but not committed.

Haven't heard anything out of the locals.

What's it look like for Saturday. Who thinks they'll show?

I'll have a lot of birthday cake to eat by myself.

The weather should be PERFECT assuming you like HOT, HUMID, with ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

Of all the birthday parties for BAC, this is one I wish I could make. The plane is still grounded due to annual and we have too much going on this weekend to get there on Delta. (at least to Nawlins!)

Have a cold one (or two) for me and here's to BAC!

All for one!
Chris

Miss Judy is ill and won't be coming. I am still going to be there if the weather cooperates (it's looking a little iffy). I want to burn some gas, mash some bugs and sweat. Its been awhile.

I plan on coming and bringing my wife and granddaughter, that is if the weather is ok. This will be my first BAC fly-inn.

Cloyd,

You may have someone to share that cake with after all! Wish I could make it. Enjoy!

Don't forget to make a list of attendees and how they arrived so everybody gets their PT points!

Have fun!

For those of you coming to 1L0 on the Fourth.

My hangar is the one to the far north on the east side of the apron.

It's a double shade hangar. We'll hang out in the hangar.

There's usually a breeze. If not we'll shoot one.

Cloyd,
What time will you cut the cake?

Take lots of photos, especially of the people there plus one or two of the planes and cakes!

Have fun and HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAC!

All for one,
Chris L.

We ended up with two planes flying in.

Bo and Sandra Boggs made it in the go anywhere Mouse and Mike Earrey made it in his Sierra.

I heard Doc Tyree was by earlier and I missed him and former BAC member Kent Greene showed up for some birthday cake.

We had a few locals too. We lit and blew out the candle so BAC is officially FIVE now.

My hangar mate and his wife, both former Sundowner pilots attended too.

A couple of photos:

Thanks Cloyd and others for the great eats and your efforts over the years. Bo and Sandra, it was good seeing you again and meeting all the other nice folks down there.

I enjoyed a great day excercising the freedom to fly that only THIS country allows because so many sacrificed their all for our freedoms.

Thanks again to all that volunteer their efforts and time to this club!

I tried but un-forseen events kept us away. I wish we could have made it. Happy Birthday BAC my membership has much more than paid for itself!

We finally got home Monday afternoon about 4:00. Weathered in at Longview, TX from 11:00AM Sunday.

I hope to get the pix posted sometime this afternoon.

What a fun trip!
