MAPS Air Museum Fly-in

I am throwing this out there to see what kind of interest there might be. I live near the Akron Canton Airport, which houses the MAP Air Museum. I know a fellow that operates a business and has ample parking in front of his hangar. I would be willing to do the leg work to make this an event happen for all to enjoy. Let me know, and I can start working on a date that might work for the group.

Erick,

What you will find is that you will never have an event if you wait for consensus. You simply plan the event, get it in the BAC calendar, coordinate with your director (notice only required), and pick a date. People come or they don't.

I have been planning events in California for years, and each one has been well attended (10 to 20 people). Bob Lewis and Doug Faucette have planned events, with only a couple of rain or fog outs over the years. Just plan it, and they will come.

Erick , I would be game on Akron Canton .All depends on the timing.Nothing wrong with throwing the idea out and getting feedback to pick the exact date. My advice would be not to have high expectations.Pardon the pun :) .Then anything is a plus. Way to go setting up a fly in. Nothing is better than getting together with fellow Bac members and hangar flying. John Persinger

Beth and I will be there with 2534W if we have an opening in our schedule. Sounds like a great day and we can show off the new interior.
