Flight Levels
Starting a new thread for the arrivals. So, we can keep track of one another.

Arrived and checked in at the hotel at 1:40pm MDT or 19:40Z. I’m on the ground floor Room 131.

Redcoats (Jerry and Ruth) lurking in hotel since Sat evening, checking out locality and that colonials have things under control. In room 530. Already survived an adventure here with Tom and Margie Corcoran up to Pikes Peak.

See you all soon

Last check on the weather looks good for Wednesday arrivals by Mouse. Hopefully that forecasst holds and we will be landing by 3PM.

Leaving Virginia Tuesday morning. Will get more than half-way Tuesday. BJC arrival Wednesday afternoon. Bringing two large sons, makes for lots of short flights. See y'all soon!

Did you go "Up on Cripple Creek" during your trip to Pike's Peak?

Peter (Germany) is here with me at the AMEN RIVER HOUSE near Salida, CO (about 3 hrs west drive from Denver). Got an early start (Sunday) discussing Sierras and Sundowners. Marty and Kevin should arrive here this afternoon for a one night stay. Then all 4 of us plan to arrive BACfest Wednesday (2 vehicles and my Sundowner ... if weather is good). Great to have a driving option with my BAC friends if weather not perfect.

Had an 8 BAC-member-lunch in Buene Vista yesterday. See you all soon!

Be safe,
Nelson

Flying out of Sacramento early tomorrow morning. Arrive Denver before 10am. Then to the hotel, timing depends on how long the train takes. Looking forward to seeing all.

It looks like Bob Prange made a pit stop in Jackson, Ohio - Rhodes (I43). Alan White is still on the ground in Springfield, KY.

I know Mark stated in an earlier thread that we sadly won't be flying in BAC style due to some landing gear issues. However, we will be arriving into the Denver airport on Wednesday evening at 6:15pm so will miss any dinner plans for tomorrow night. I'm sure once we arrive at the hotel, we will be happy to enjoy an adult beverage with any one interested. See you tomorrow evening. Travel safe everyone! ;)

Darn-it, Bob you are supposed to let a member know when you land at their home field. Sorry I missed you, would have loved to have treated you to lunch.

Jean and I spent last night in Clarksdale Mississippi enjoying some good food and blues and southern hospitality. We are now at MO9 at the famed Hangar Cafe in Miller, MO waiting on our beloved president JP and newsletter editor Doc White. Planning rendezvous here for dinner at 1600 then off to the Beaumont hotel 07S tonight.

Tomorrow, gas and breakfast at Stearman field near Wichita then 4 hours to KBJC...arrival mid afternoon hopefully. So far the Sierra is chugging along just fine. See y’all then!

Good news, bad news. Stopped at PMH in Ohio. Great restaurant but no Notam mentioning they are out of fuel. Not enough in my tanks to go to the next airport (where’s Plan B?!). We’re good now but way behind schedule. It turns out we could have gone with min fuel to the next airport, but that would not have left much safety margin.

Arriving at DEN about 9 am Wednesday morning courtesy of Delta. Meeting Jeff Knight then we’ll take the train to Arvada. Should arrive at the hotel before noon and hope to have lunch with some of you already there.

Brad,

Will just miss you. I arrive at 9:45 via Southwest. Probably on the train after yours. Hopefully, will make that lunch.

This is why I have pushed for a printed membership directory. A month ago I went to my airport for a safety meeting. I saw a Sundowner sitting on the ramp and found the couple it belonged to. They were traveling from their home base in New York to Colorado. I would never had a chance to meet them if it were not by chance. A directory whether at home or carried in the plane cross country would be valuable tool to find BAC members. How about it BOD?

I will PROBABLY arrive by Southwest Airlines instead of Sundowner. Weather, winds and turbulence (and a bit of an oil leak) all add up to commercial, unless the forecast is way off. Arrival is scheduled for 12:10.

Bob, I hate to hear that. You were about 12 minutes from Jackson and 10 to Ashland. PMH has been low on fuel for awhile, not sure whats up. I was just at PMH for dinner, missed you by only hours.

What time are you departing I75, Denis? We're planning an early launch (7-8ish?) so long as low ceilings don't move in overnight. Refueling at 82V so we can color Wyoming in on our map.
