Just as a fine Kentucky Bourbon whisky requires time to age and mature, so does the schedule for BACFest 2018. An additional post in this forum has the preliminary schedule which will be massaged and fine-tuned over the next several months in order to ensure another great adventure for you and your fellow BAC members. Another subsequent post in this forum contains a list of websites for nearby attractions so that you can research and customize your own free-time experience while in Louisville.

Refer to the article on the BAC website for information regarding hotel reservations. Don’t delay. Go ahead and book your room now. You can always adjust it later.

If you have any questions, please post them in this forum and answers will be forthcoming.

BACFest 2018 Preliminary Schedule
Louisville, Kentucky
Thursday, September 13 thru Sunday, September 16, 2018

Headquarters:
Host airport – likely KJVY – Jeffersonville, IN across the river from Louisville
Located just outside Louisville Class C airspace; KJVY is a non-towered airport
Host hotel – The Galt House – located on the Louisville riverfront ($139/night)
The Galt House, www.galthouse.com, is a full service, downtown convention hotel.
Private hotel lounge area or meeting room for gathering. Beverages purchased at the hotel bar.
Commercial airport – KSDF – Louisville International – 7 miles from hotel

Thursday, September 13, 2018
Arrivals at host airport
Complimentary shuttle bus service between KJVY and The Galt House between 10am and 8pm
Meet and greet afternoon cookout at KJVY until 4:30pm (to be confirmed)
Potential for hangar discussion while at the airport during meet and greet
Potential for tour of the propeller maintenance shop located at the airport

Group luncheon at noon at The Galt House followed by the BAC Annual Meeting
Late afternoon free to explore
Cocktails and banquet dinner at the Kentucky Derby Museum located at Churchill Downs. Complimentary transportation provided from hotel lobby at 5:30pm. Return at 10:00pm.

I went to the Hotel's website to book a room Sept 13 & checking out on the 16th and got the following error message...


"Unfortunately, there are no available rooms. Please try your search again for other dates."

Gary I'd give them a call. The website may not know if the hotel is "holding" rooms for BAC still. Can't be any worse off than what the web is saying. Good luck and see you there.
