BACFest 2010!

OK all you Meteorophobes (or whatever you call fear of weather), I am sitting under a flood watch all up and down the Pioneer Valley. Clearly the Weather Gods think I am still trying to depart tomorrow. Bring your planes to BACFest while they are not looking!!!

OK, only expecting 6-8" rain, not as bad as North Central. Bob Schmidt, is that you holding the other end of this towel we're wringing out??

The cabs are a best value if you pack them with people. They use zone rates and don't count heads.
But the biggest headache with a rental is the parking fee at the hotel. They wallop you...aww rats, forgot, but I think it was $16/day. 'Course, if you try to drive in center San Antonio you see why they discourage tourists cars. Rest of the city is fine but, if the traffic in that neighborhood was always that bad...Santa Anna would never have been able to get to the Alamo! (And Crockett's cap would have been roadkill.)

Well said, Steve. Typical old city, narrow streets at all kinds of angles. made worse by the introductuion of the freeways and interstates cutting many of them off. Lots of remaining brick pavement that looks like mini-rollercoasters.
 
Come on guys! I'm really straining sucking all this rain and crap up here to the "uppa US". Sign up for BAC Fest now while I can keep the weather clear!!! :cool:

I'm East Central, Steve :)

We did get our share of rain in the central part of Wisconsin, though. Me? I stayed dry at my house in Eastern Wisconsin. No more Cadillac Escalades in sinkholes like we had last Spring.
 
Does anyone need a room in SAT? We have one reserved but it does'nt look good for us making the trip by plane or car.
 
OK, We have a thread on the KSSF arrivals...how about the KSAN arrivals? I am flying in on Thursday, scheduled to arrive at 0945. Not that I am cheap, but if someone else is coming in around the same time, we could share a cab and save a few bucks or if you have a car I could bum a ride. So come on BAC'ers....for those arriving on the big silver bird, what is your schedule?

Adrianne is flying in on Friday at 1320. Anyone else around that time?

Mark and I will be arriving on a "big silver bird" about 3:30pm on Thursday. Not sure that really helps you, Dan. Unless you want to hang out in an airport bar and drink yourself silly till we get there.
 
Denni and I will be arriving Tuesday afternoon at KSAN.
C'Mon, even on the airlines I gotta figure the weather gods are gunnin' for me!:cry:
