Sorry for the delay . I am working on Bacfest the best I can with my schedule. Here is the rough draft .

DC area sight seeing .Hotel near metro rail to DC along with shuttles
Possible mx clinic at CJR White Hawk aviation

Friday September 18 2026
Fly out /Shuttle out to AOPA tour
Lunch at airport Frederick
Gettysburg tour ( drive the grounds )
Dinner that night near the hotel TBA

Departures and Flying Circus Airshow for those staying that day Flying Circus Aerodrome & Airshow checking on pavilion and catering ( did in past with warrenton airport ).
 
I just booked my flight. I figure that airfares are not probably heading down in the next few months, perhaps longer. Flying into IAD, let me know when the hotel is selected.
 
I urge everyone to arrange their schedule to visit the Flying Circus on Sunday. I went to the Flying Circus with John and the BAC years ago. It was arranged perfectly, and I would not hesitate for a minute to go again.

For those who are unfamiliar, the show is a barnstormer's act. There is a show associated with it, and it's entertaining for non-pilots as well.

I can be there Friday through Sunday.

Margie and I will probably do an extended road trip from Boston.
I can see the same cast of characters lining up already. I certainly can't leave them alone at BACFest26 unsupervised. It's those people from west of the Mississippi that are to be watched carefully.

BACFest is the best deal in aviation and everyone should try to attend.
 
It wouldn't be a BACFest if someone wasn't there to drop all the Rs. But then again, Robin has been working on me to stop adding an R to Washington for 48 years.
