Sussex Co DE (KGED)

Congratulations Eric Grill. I think you (not Scott Brunner) is first to earn both Tshirts. BEECH BUM and the other one.
You look sterling in the photo. Gary now has a uniform to wear next time.

Good job on $5.51 fuel. Here at CYYG it is $8.28. That's 70 cents a mile. Did about 300 miles this week.

Thanks Tom! Ill have to alternate uniforms at each flyin. Not only was it $5.51 full service but apparently Delaware gives you a .23 per gallon rebate at the end of the year! (Got the form from the front desk might just have to fly to delaware more often)

He had a little elder woman (cotton head)want the beech bum shirt, she gave him a run. ;)

I say cotton head because my 86 yo MIL used to call them that.

Well, two mice made it to KGED. Some sprinkles on departure as I headed south but no real rain until I was on my way back to our motor home in ocean city md.

Eric, so nce to meet you and your family. Since we're so close we'll have to get the ladies out for a dinner flight.

Absolutely! Let me know when you want to meet up Jessica would love it!

I will get you gentleman your Beech Nut shirts via mail or fed ex ground. The AirCzar will have to authenticate the photo, verify flight aware and several other procedures.(very intense investigation) .These are 100% cotton shirts!!!! Eric because you are the first to BREAK into Mid Atlantic airspace since we have appointed a Air CZAR you are probably due some kind of U2 spy plane theme item at BACFEST.What do you think Paul? Sorry I couldn't make it.Thanks for setting this up Gary.Hopefully we can keep the activity level up. Bac fest is on the approaching radar screen . Lets see how many of us we can get together .

There is also a logbook at KGED that we registered in (And we found some other BE23's flying into the airport secretly!). I hate to tell you Ive been "breaking" into the midatlantic for a while now guess you better bump up security or you might see an influx of us! Hopefully you can make it to the next one and Ill sneak down.

Eric thanks for being a WHISTLEBLOWER. With this rise of activity, it looks like we might need to get some more shirts on order. I am looking forward to getting a North East shirt myself. Look forward to seeing you soon.

Man - LOL - "whistleblower - secretly - flying - airport - security - sneak - U2 spy plane - AirCzar - break into - airspace - investigation - radar" you guys put us on the NSA watch list for sure... I intended this as humor - but - when you really think about it - it's not that funny...
;)

Scott

Scott this is the price we pay living here in the Washington, D.C. Air space, of course we do occasionally take off the batman like masks from time to time

Steve

Steve can I be pre warned when you take the mask off. Scott, if you properly notify your friendly Mid Atlantic AirCzar before attending a Mid Atlantic fly-in ( shirt size for example)everyone will get along just fine. The Mid Atlantic RD will even include some Conway Twitty music for you and Jackie's listening enjoyment to take back with you. :)

Hi Folks,

Man - we've got to make one very soon - I'm getting the DT's/shakes from the lack of Conway Twitty in my life.. That - and I don't think Jackie's been in the plane since last summer - before Sandy. We haven't been anywhere... As per Mike's eye advice post above - I went to an eye doctor in the mall yesterday and while my eyes are 20/20 for distance - he said I need reading glasses... It's tough getting old... I'm not sure how that affects my 3rd class medical... I'm gonna pick up my - ugh - reading glasses today - and - I'll try to get my medical done before next weekend... N63503 wants to FLY !!!

Regards,
Scott

Hi Folks,

I searched around the DMZ area between North and Mid - the restaurant at Millville NJ had excellent reviews on the "fly2lunch" site... There's the pre BACfest already scheduled for the 17th of August - any suggested dates where we could squeeze another quick fly-in to the region on the calendar ??

Regards,
Scott

Its going to be hard to beat the prices at KGED and the restaurant has a pretty good menu (Not to mention you get another .10 off per gallon if you eat at the restaurant). I wouldnt mind going back to KGED but then again Ill fly anywhere so name a time and place.

Scott,
Squeeze in every sensible fly-in you can.
As for Millville, New Jersey... Airboss of New Jersey Bob Palamara is ahead of you and has been communicating with me on a visit to the racing school next door and the restaurant and museum there.
Check for posting soon on the BAC calendar to be set for October 5, 2013... with BEECH BUM Tshirts in the mix.

Cape may nj dinner flight?? The oyster bay is a great stop, they open at 5pm.

Tom, if bob needs a hand making contacts I work at Millville and cape may airports. I may be able to help with a warbird tour set up. Let me know.

Sounds good! What date were you thinking about?

Morn'n Folks,

Ok - we'll leave Millville for Bob until October... In addition to Cape May - how about PA again as well - Reading or Lancaster ? A better place in the area ?

Scott

Either of those works for me since my plane is based out of KLNS. Both restaurants at KLNS and KRDG are great.

It probably would be good to do Lancaster. We had a lot of interest and that one went south last year because of weather.
