How about a special side trip next year!

BACFest 2014 near Portland, Oregon, begins midweek about September 17. Many of us would enjoy a tour the Pacific Northwest. If we schedule our vacations right, say Saturday September 13 to Sunday September 21, it would put BACFest in the mix.

Margie and I would be happy to devote the early dates to seeing sights around Oregon and Washington. I haven't searched for any info yet.

As so many members would be flying commercial to this corner of the USA, with a bit of serious planning, maybe dozens attending, we could set up a custom tour.

Who has experience doing this?

I like the idea, Tom. I'm in Portland for the first time right now, but on business, so not a lot of time to look around. Seems there is a lot to see and do, but I have no idea how to set up a custom tour. I'll ask around.
 
Tom........works for me and Steffi and I believe my friends (member) from Puerto Rico is planning on meeting me in Atlanta and then we are all going to fly commerical out to Portland. We would be game for just about anything. fred

Although flying may be totally unrealistic from the med-west, it certainly would be a great adventure. However, we will probably start looking at commercial air in January.
