EARLY ARRIVALS - BACfest 2016 - Musketeers Unite!

Linda and I are going to Moses at the Sight and Sound Theater on Thursday afternoon. It starts at 3:30 p.m. There are not a lot of seats available so if anyone wants to go then, they should get advance tickets. I am sure there are many other shows that suit just about every taste and desire so it should not be hard to find something to your liking.

Oh my gosh, I would love to do that but I bet my wife would shoot me for going without her! We go to the one in PA occasionally.

The airport is within walking distance of the Keeter Center, but it is forecasted to be warm/hot. The airport is on the property of the College of the Ozarks but was deeded over to Taney County subsequent to a terrible Citation jet accident that killed 6 people... Just checked in. Arrived at 2:21pm EDT. Took the long way to get here. Landed in Ripley, MS (25M) and refueled for 2.99/gal. Then on to (9M6) Oak Grove, LA. They were 3.30/gal. And finally here. Great day to fly couldn't pass it up!
 
I decided to cancel my room at the Radisson since we're bringing the pooch and staying at the La Quinta. The reservations were for 22-25 Sep if someone is a last minute add-on. But, she said you have to act ASAP since this is a very busy part of the year. I didn't want to forget to cancel especially if Tom et al are getting me trashed the next couple of days!

Still planning on a NLT 1400 arrival tomorrow, Wed. Can't wait. Y'all fly/drive safely.
 
Leaving Warrenton, VA Wednesday AM, ETA 5:00 or 6:00PM. Staying one night, Wednesday, at theLaQuinta in Hollister (not downtown), the one that is 2 miles south of KPLK. Planning on a rental car, so I'll go to the Radisson and look for familiar faces.

A cup of coffee in the morning?

I arrived Branson this evening at 9:00 pm and currently at the Stagecoach RV park with the camper van. Call anytime , this evening or early morning, if you all want to meet for coffee. Ditto for any others already in town.

Easy drive up up from San Antonio today. Excellent!

I am getting special sunglasses to compensate for the brightest of the halo on her head for putting up with you. Hmmmm . This almost didn't happen for me this year. Career change after 16.5 years, less time off, one of my bizjets posting no-go eicas messages like crazy, CEO buys a new $48.5M Bizjet on Friday (gotta leave Sunday to go get it), developer drops a replat of a big subdivision on the little town (I have a meeting with the city engineering firm this morning) and my girlfriend had to work FedEx last night until 0500 this morning (her first BACfest). But our CEO & my VP said, "No! You ARE going on your vacation, to BACfest! Our new jet can wait a few more days, until you can go get it."

And that, boys and girls, is how important BACfest is!!!

This is BACfest #11 for me, I think? I missed the first one.

This is my girlfriend's first BACfest! So, y'all go easy on her!!! Don't be telling her any stories! She's already been out with JP & Ms. A in D.C. So, she knows about John. And it doesn't get much worse than John. So, she should be ok?

We can't wait to get there!

Yup, Dr. Werbin arrived as the fog disappeared and the heavens shined brightly.... His approach was flawless... I am currently back up in Springfield, MO waiting for Mike Koenig's flight to arrive from Charlotte, NC. The mice are populating on the KPLK ramp... I love seeing mice on the ramp, just not in my home...

Lots of activities going on with the early arrivers... Lots of cameraderie too!!!!!
