BACFest 2012 - Gulf Shores, Alabama

It looks like I can attend BAC Fest. I have been asked to do a maintenance presentation, specifically the Sierra's landing gear system. I think I can do this on Friday before the Naval Air Museum trip as most of us will be at the airport anyway. I know this presentation won't have a broad interest, so Bill Sciscoe volunteered to do something that will benefit more of the membership. Perhaps after the museum trip.

I'd like to see how many would be interested in a Sierra landing gear clinic. If enough interest is there, I'll be happy to share what I know about the gear (it will not be a long presentation).

He's flying into Pensacola, Florida. I'm concerned whether or not he'll get past border patrol into Alabama? Those good ol' boys may have trouble understanding that Bahston accent!

Registration is now open! Some important dates to remember:

August 26 - deadline for making hotel reservations and receiving the discounted group rate.
September 1 - early deadline for BACFest registration, fee increases $30 after September 1.
September 27 - optional dinner at Lambert's, home of the throwed rolls.
September 28 - 30 BACFest events

We are making plans to attend BACFest 2012 and a possible over-nighter in Memphis prior to arrival on Thursday.
