Good morning all.

I have the misfortune of having to cancel my trip to New Bedford this year. I am still stuck out of country while KIAH airport remains closed due to the hurricane. My travel funds are fast depleting, and Houston will need my cleanup skills when I make it home. I haven't a clue how my Sundowner is doing.

That being said, 2 things:

1-Tom, please remove my name from the expected registrants. Sorry I won't get to enjoy this wicked party [emoji17]

2- I have a reservation for the BAC-approved-hotel, Wednesday to Sunday I believe. Rather than blindly cancelling it I want to make sure that it is offered to my fellow BACers. I am not sure how this is done, but we can make it happen.

I just found out I can get the time off. Just need to clear with the boss (wife) and I can let you know tomorrow. I would only need thurs-sun, but I'm sure we can make the change.

My "welcome to Texas" was hurricane Ike 5 weeks after landing here. I was not impressed with the welcome.

I called the hotel direct today, and they gave me the group rate for thurs-sun. Maybe you can hold yr room for a few more days to see if there's any late comers. Appreciate the offer.

Hello all. I am back in Houston and finally begining to catch up on things.

My reservation is for Thursday to Sunday. My latest plans ...... have me possibly staying Wednesday night, so (if their reservation desk can work it) have them add the Wednesday night to my name/existing reservation at this time when you call to cancel. If this "magic transfer" of one night is impossible, don't sweat it and I can call them directly when I firm up my plans. I really don't have a feel on how full they will be during the week.

Due to life events beyond our control, Jane and I will not be making it to BACfest 2017. In preparation for retirement, we have sold our home and we will be moving to a new address. The deadlines involved will not give us the opportunity see all of your smiling faces at New Bedford. I have cancelled my hotel reservations. Have fun!

What a great club !!

I needed to add 2 days earlier to my hotel reservation and thanks to DD's thoughtfulness, I now have his reservation in my name. Those 2 additional days are at the BAC $109 rate. A LOT better than I was getting through the reservation desk ($225 per night). THANK YOU DERICK !! THANK YOU TOM C. FOR NEGOTIATING THE GREAT BAC RATE FOR ALL OF US !!

Curt - - I hope this means you are moving to Texas .... ;)
