does anyone know if there will be any times the airport will be closed to landing and departing aircraft during the day of the event. fred

i talked to the people at the airport, and they said the filed will be closed from 1245pm to 3pm to landing and departing aircraft. civil air partrol will be working the unicom and assisting in traffic control and parking on the field.

Fuel will be $5.90/gal on Saturday. I will arrive around 8:00 and I am bringing an Easy-Up and some chairs. I'm not bringing full fuel tanks! I have talked with them and hopefully they can set aside an area for us to park and to congregate. See you Saturdday!

Being that the airport is on a mountain top, it is socked in this morning. If anyone is enroute and can't get in, if you go over to SHD and give me a call, I'll come and meet you. We could use that as an alternate. 540-294-2374. If you make it into HSP, give me a call as well.
