The party has begun! Despite the weather, 31 people have already gathered at the Hampton Inn in New Bedford. Tom and Margie rolled out a fabulous reception this evening for all to enjoy. More are on the way and pictures will soon follow.
 
From the official Bourbon of the Beech Aero Club, to deep discussions of our planes and to the good times of getting together again, BACFest 2017 is underway.

Two airplanes bringing John Persinger and Chris Nowak braved the winds and landed this afternoon at KEWB. Tom Corcoran has the BAC taxi ready for transportation!

I think that is Singleton! Reminds me of the four stages of life. First, you believe in Santa Clause, then you don't believe in Santa Clause, all of a sudden you are Santa Clause, finally you look like Santa Clause. I guess Dave is in his fourth stage.

You guessed right. My first beard and probably not going to be a long term deal. If I had this before I could gotten on SS sooner.
John wanted me to come incognito and report the happiness index status of the attendees.
Now you screwed that up and he doesn't want to pay me. However he does want me for the Christmas party. I am holding out
for advance pay.

I will report Tom and Margie put together a great deal and we will not let wind nor rain interfere with BAC2017.

We sure as hell miss you brother. We all wish you were here helping entertain and answer our numerous questions.

Any chance captions could be added to the pics so I can put names to faces? I am hoping I am up and flying by next years BACfest.
 
There is a bunch of faces there that I recognize, but there are too many that I do not. I gotta get BAC there!

Day 2 update......4 airplanes at KEWB and 49 people at the Hampton! A little weather never slows BACFest attendees!
 
Another great day here at BACFest 2017! We spent the day enjoying Newport RI despite a cool breezy drizzle. Great work on the transportation!
