Will be flying to Windam, Connecticut KIJD, next Thursday, September 19th at about 2:00. Will be at the self serve fuel pump getting some 100LL for $5.43 a gallon.

Considering that a non-member at KJPX pays $9.25 a gallon and even those of us that are members pay $7.74, $5.43 is refreshing.

Does anyone know of other locations in the area with lower prices? Two weeks ago it was $5.20 there.

Sky acres 44N is always cheap, and a great practice approach for students. 3800x60, false front and slanting uphill going N. Challenging, and sort of an intro to mountain airfields.

Here in SE Ohio an nice 45 minute flight across the river was to Cynthiana to get cheap gas (now $4.90) and to visit Brad Mitchell who lived close. Not the same now.

All this time, I thought his spell check was just trying to deal with wayward thumbs. Turns out he is a voice command guy. Poor phone probably does not understand a New York accent? I can understand that. The first few months I was LGA based, I thought I had moved to a foreign country. My nickname almost was "Can you repeat that please".
