Sounds like a plan, JP. Tail of the Dragon consists of 318 curves in 11 miles. It's a great trip whether you're a rookie or a veteran of the Dragon! The Tree of Shame includes many motorcycle parts lost by riders while on the Tail, fortunately, none of mine! :)

Not going to miss Tail of the Dragon two years in a row......I've got an Eagle Riders code as well for those that want to join or rent.

Members can sign up online https://www.eaglerider.com/motorcycle-club . Using my code ( XPGMA - all capitals- ) will get me one instant credit for each sign up and will give the new member 2 credits to start with. Not a bad deal.

See you in Gatlinburg/Pidgeon Forge!

It sounds fun but I measured and did the weight and balance and I don't think the bike will fit, even with the back seats out...

The Texan will join in ........

This is great! I am ready-to-ride and looking forward to making sparks around those fast corners with my knee pads. Zoom! Mine easily fits into the Sundowner.

JP I can’t imagine not being interested and up for a ride !
Not interested in renting will bring my own.

This thread looks like BACers have run out of airplane pictures and looking to see whose (bike) is biggest.

(Is it likely the rental bikes might have heel shifters?)

I'm ready...to hike! My last time on a motorcycle didn't go too well!

For those of you flying into GKT, I hate to sound like a nagging Mom, but: please review airport procedures especially the one-way instrument approach.

And the Departure Procedure: there is an obstacle departure procedure if you need to takeoff IFR or a good idea even if just flying at Night (the mountains are not illuminated).

There's even a bit of a hill in northwest side of the pattern, so don't turn crosswind/downwind too early (especially if its night time.)

Lots of sightseeing helicopter traffic, so keep a sharp lookout.

It's becoming obvious that BAC members have way too many toys. So I'm not posting pictures of my motorized bicycle, kayaks, canoe, sailboat etc.

You guys wanna start spending real money? Go get a Vanagon pop up and tour Utah with friends (sort of BAC Fest in the desert).
