The sign at Five Star says "Cheapest Gas On The Field", which is true. However, this is relative. That cheap gas is $4.89 today. Still, I paid $5.10 week before last at another field.

See you there,
 [/img]

On arrival at BAF, tell the tower you are here for the Beech Fly-In. They will direct you down Alpha txwy to Alpha-1 exit. If you can't see us from there...you should not be allowed to fly an airplane.
I'll be monitoring.

monitoring

Steve,

I can see you monitoring from way up here!

In fact, you're one of the best monitors in BAC. Have you been monitoring long? Were you professionally trained to monitor or did you pick up your monitoring skills naturally. Will you give a monitoring demonstration at the fly-in? Will it be free or will you pass the hat.

"Step right up ladies and gentlemen... Steve Cote is about to do his famous monitoring act for your viewing pleasure. He monitors up and he monitors down. He monitors left, right and sideways. This is a show not to be missed. Just one thin dime, just one tenth of a dollar. Step right up, the Cote Monitoring show is about to begin"

500 miles away on Prince Edward Island, Canada. I have a local fly-in here the same day. Good luck. Gas near $7.00us

Hi Tom,

Yeah, I'll be "monitoring"...cuz I can't bear to look directly. Might see the storm clouds forming over me!

The monitoring will be free. In Massachusetts, any monitors must be carried in an ambulance..and I'm not on the street anymore. I'm a damn bureaucrat, remember? (Besides, I can't find leads long enough to reach aircraft in the pattern...not to mention how mad pilots will be if I stick electrodes on their Mice!)

Awwrighty then, Westfield Fly-In is a go.
Tell the tower you are with the Beech group and they will direct you in.

Anyone who is driving (tsk, tsk) check in with Five Star Jet Center and they will call me or point you down the line.

Lunch (at noon) will be at the Runway Restaurant, on field, on their upper terrace (Well, lah de dah!)
Questions? Call 413-531-1938

The Northeast Fly-In at Westfield was a success! Somehow we fooled the weather gods and had great weather. 8)

Five airplanes and eight people aboard. A great day.
Thanks to all who came,
