Nantucket, Mass. Spetember 18

Had VFR flight following. South you fly 2000' and north 1500'( according to the controller I was speaking with). I couldn't climb for clouds so he suggested it or to stay north. He told me to turn south and follow the Hudson at 2000'( I turned at White Plains,NY) There was a Cessna behind me (controller told him to follow behind me). I saw 5 helicopters north bound below me, a large jet climbing over me approx. 2000' and climbing straight at me. Controller was talking to all of us and we could here each other so it wasn't bad at all. I did buy a Zaon traffic for this trip for an extra set of eyes. SoCal was much more nerve racking with traffic.

P.S. With your Co-pilot you two could get some great pics!

Thanks for the info Ed - I plan on taking the tour one of these days... It makes so much more sence to do it with a controller @ 2000 - instead of on your own @ less than 500... I've got the TIS traffic on the 330 - and - honestly it works pretty well as long as you're in the coverage area... It catches traffic before I have a visual - all the time...

Yeah - my co-pilot comes in handy too... She really likes the flying as long as it's perfectly smooth...
:)

It was a pleasure meeting you - glad you got home safe...

Regards,
Scott

I've just posted my pics under Northeast Fly Ins. I've also posted others I took under my own photo gallery that anyone can view.

For some reason, the photos of Bob Plamara and Tom Corcoran didn't turn out. Something about being so ugly they broke the camera! Sorry 'bout that guys.
