Hiya! Hiya, Hiya! Come one, come all to the COPPERSTATE Fly-in. This is the biggest aviation event in Arizona! Since 1971, the COPPERSTATE Fly-In & Aviation Expo has been the place to see everything from ultralights to jets! In its 41st year, this year’s fly-in — scheduled for Thurs., Oct. 24, 2013 - Sat., Oct. 26, 2013 at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport in Casa Grande, Ariz. There will be workshops, vendor stands, a food court and more! I peruse the Fly-market for good deals. The weather is always great (bring the sun block) and photo ops at every turn. This year it will be a non-tower event with no special traffic patterns. Standard recommended practices for non-towered airports should be followed. For more information go to

See you there!

No, there won't be a bag of shiny bolts for the participants. But, I may have something by then.

DRIVE UP?! What's wrong with flying up? The title says 26 October. I'm going to be there then. I'll see if I can get a dedicated parking area for the Baby Beeches.

We used to say in the Navy, "No guts, no air medals". Follow the procedures and give the yahoo's and aol's a wide berth.

Marty-

Sorry but we have a prior commitment so I can't make it! Have a cold one for me and take lots of photos!

I guess I missed "The Flying Dutchman" and Sandy Beech. I even walked down the General parking and didn't see either of them.

We had to bug out a little early, the kiddo's fun meter got pegged. Saw some nice airplanes and enjoyed the warm weather. The Copperstate never disappoints.

I'm going to camp next year on Friday night.

Arron,

I was there. They parked me on the diagonal taxi way. Why didn't you call? I had coozies all ready to give out. The one ones I saw was Sara Romanish and Jim Fix. Mark Johnson said he would come, but I didn't see him or his Sundowner. It was a pretty good turnout for the event. I got a few pictures, here is one:

Sorry I missed you Marty, I guess I didn't walk far enough down that line.

I had my personal cell phone and it is just a dumb phone, I forgot to get your number but
figured I'd find you.

Picked up a few parts at Aircraft Spruce, always nice to save on shipping.
