BACFest Arrivals

We have a discount with Enterprise (the only game in town at Sevierville). Call (865) 908-3044 and ask for Jonathan.
Whether or not he is there, tell them you are with Beech Aero Club and they should know what you are talking about.
See you there.

Missing my second BACFest!!! It's too long of a flight from EBAW....

Mike, The only thing more depressing than having to drive is not being able to come at all!

Enjoy everyone! I'll be thinkin' of you!

they presented me with a single bill and a calculator, and told me, "If you want it split up, go ahead!" Then it became an ordeal.

Brad,

I thought you were just going to pick up the check!! I will probably pay for that remark. You are right, we should have gone to the bar enmass and ordered drinks and then asked for separate checks.

Dan

Still planning to be there unless the weather doesn't work, or emergency arises. Haven't registered due to uncertainty, but Cindy (gf) and I plan to be there Friday a.m. Paul Jones

Hey guys,

Due to some prior commitments, I have to change my flight plans to where I fly commercially into Knoxville (KTYS) at 8:30 Wed morning. I would really like to go to the Beech Museum if possible. I had a ride lined up with Chris and Bob, but they have to fly commercial as well due to weather. The original plan was I would meet them at FBO (TAC Air) at around 9:30 or so. Is there anyone that wouldn't mind a slight detour to pick me up on Wed morning?

Oops! You got caught by the dreaded "Forum Slip" and we lost your ID. Who was this?

Well, Thanks to the Cote Weather Curse, we aren't flying.

We will leave here tomorrow Morning in the Trailblazer, Arriving in G'burg sometime early Thursday afternoon.

Not sure when Liz and I will get there. It's raining really hard in NM and freezing levels are lower than our airport elevation. Trying to leave as soon as the weather lifts. Hopefully be there later this evening. This being Tuesday...

Brad and Ann have arrived. Beautiful here, but flew in clouds most of the way and had to shoot the GPS 10 approach into KGKT. Broke out about 6 miles from the runway at 2500 feet. Beautiful blue skies directly over the airport.

We'll leave the light on for late arrivals.

All,

Anyone else looking at the weather for BACFEST - like me ??? Looks like and IFR kind of day tomorrow with a big trough over the Smokey Mountains...

Man - I knew I should be pushing harder to get my instrument rating...

I'll watch the weather - but - does anyone know how the Inn handles cancellations ???

:(

Regards,
Scott

I think it's a 72 hour cancellation policy.

One day room charge if you don't cancel in time.

At least I think that's what it is.

Just a reminder, Weather Watchers.

I think it was at Myrtle Beach the BAC Board voted to give one year free BAC membership to anyone who got a new rating.

Would have to check how we defined "rating" but it was intended to award an instrument ticket or commercial, etc.

A tail wheel or complex endorsement does not cut it.

Steve & Denni Cote have arrived...sans airplane.
The Mitchell's and Boyce's dealt with IFR all the way. Well, so did we...driving down I-81!! Like Brad said, beautiful blue above the airport, but I did not want to deal with threading a mountain range I have only hiked in; and that years ago.

But we are here!

Due to the weather, I now plan to meet up at the Beech Museum. However, the next two days don't look very good weather wise. A real shame.
