BACFest 2025

Margie and I are currently polishing our itinerary. Arriving BACFest via Honda (not Honda Jet). We may be on the road for a week (coming from Boston) before FACFest. We are open to suggestions or invitations for touring before September 17th. Anyone want to meet somewhere and join a very nice always-young lady and a grouchy old man?
 
The Mascelli’s are out. The Commander Owner Group just posted their annual event date and location. Augusta GA 9/19 - 9/21. Obviously I need these groups to coordinate a bit better, or learn how to be in two places at once. 😉 we will miss our BAC friends.

I know some spots along your route that I would meet you.
 
I would like those of you who are flying in commercially, to tell me what airport that you are flying to. Are you flying into a major hub and renting a car from there? Or are you flying regional airlines into somewhere close to Lock Haven and renting a car.

For Tom or anyone who is spending some time before Bacfest 2025 in the Pennsylvania area, where are you planning on touring? We would like to arrive a few days early, but have formulated plans on what to do yet.
 
We will be visiting friends in MD and VA before and after BACFest. We will use a rental car to get to Lock Haven but be turning it in to Enterprise as soon as we drop off our stuff at the hotel. So no car while we're there.

Harvey, please confirm you got our ISD's too. Sent 7/7/25.
 
The wife and I will be flying commercial into DC on Sept 10th and staying there for 2 days. Then meeting some friends that live in Lancaster PA for lunch/dinner on the 13th. After that traveling up to Jersey and touring the Statue Of Liberty on the 14th. Then heading up to Niagara Falls on the 15th. Leaving there and heading down to Lock Haven on Wednesday the 17th.

For those visiting the Palmer Art Museum and Penn State Arboretum, I would also sneak away on a short walk to the Penn State Creamery (https://creamery.psu.edu/visit) as morning ice cream goes great with morning coffee.

Reminder of photo and shirt size deadline tomorrow, Aug 9. Also, just received reply from Lycoming that foreigners are welcome on Lycoming engine tour, with passport photo information. About 40 people have registered so far.
 
I must not be keeping up. I sent a copy of photo ID. Don't know if that is the "photo" that is requested. I did not get confirmation of receipt, nor do I know where to look to see if I am on any appropriate list. My shirt size is XL. I think I have yet to register but I have made the hotel, flights, and rental car reservations. I don't mind deadlines but would be nice to know if what was sent already was received and what is needed. "About 40 people" doesn't let me know I'm on the list. Be a shame to come 2,000 miles to find out there was an errant email preventing me from part of the festivities.
 
I sent a copy of my passport a while ago.
