Flight Levels
Join us for our annual picnic at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. The picnic will be held at Bob Schmidt's camp site in Camp Scholler. The picnic will start at 2:00PM CDT and ends when the last person leaves. We will supply brats and burgers with all the fixings, plus beer, soft drinks and water. If you have portable chairs, you may want to bring them.

Please respond to this thread if you plan on attending so we can plan our food and drink quantities.

Look for the BAC flag. Here is a map of the camp site. http://goo.gl/maps/5KdNr

John,

I'll be there! Thanks again John and Bob for doing this. BTW, planning to arrive Saturday the 18th, leaving Sunday the 26th.

BACers:

Sorry for the thread diversion:

Todd Pedersen of MoGas fame has indicated he will do an STC for the GA Tiger if he gets 400 takers. There are about 1,200 AA5Bs. Would one of you visit with Todd at his display and point out the SD has the same engine (O-36A4K and A4M) and there are nearly 2,000 mouses with O-320 and O-360 some of which would be interested in the mogas stc. BAC will be happy to promote his efforts on our behalf on the website and newsletter. Marty has already reached out via email to Pedersen, but F2F is a great reinforcement, especially if more than 1 mouser inquires.

thanks in advance,

Rap

How much is lunch. Can I bring two extra even if they aren't part of the BAC? They wanted to fly in with my Super since it's the only plane with the useful load to carry us 😜. Supers Rule!!

I heard the mo gas STC was tried and the mice (sundowner?) failed because of a vapor lock issue at altitude due to our somewhat unique fuel system. Hope I am wrong!

I called the gentleman who was working on the STC for the fuel. You are correct, failed due to the plumbing in the fuel system. P. S. Won't be at Oshkosh have to work.

I plan to be there with one guest. We are planning on flying in on Wednesday Morning and departing on Saturday morning. Will be camping again in the Vintage aircraft area.

Looking forward to another great event!

Will attend, reservation for one pls. Thx for setting it up. Always a good time with the members and guests.

One week from today we'll arrive EAA after our 1400nm journey. It's always a challenge and thrill after our arrival. I'm wishing I was enroute now. I'd be on-top with a 14 kt tailwind.
