BAC Picnic at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017

Over the years we have slowly moved the BAC picnic to later in the week. I am reaching out to the attending members to see if Wednesday is still a good day for the majority or if there is a preference to move it to Thursday this year. Please take the poll and let us know what you think.

My schedule matches Roland's.
Will be at KOSH Friday-Tuesday, then return Friday-Sunday.
It's a short flight for me.
Can be there six nights, burning only two vacation days away from work.
My vote would be Monday or Saturday.
More people attend over a weekend than the middle day of the week.

We always arrive Thursday and leave Sunday. This works best for the least time off work for both my son and us. Don't expect to ever get to a BAC Oshkosh picnic due to our schedule, but wonder if there is a possibility that there may be more like us. Would there be a viable use for two picnics, one earlier in the week and one later?

I like that idea! Even if all we did was meet up someplace later in the week.

Only a couple of days left to cast your vote. Could you be the tie breaker? Last year for the first time we had an ice cream social meet and greet on Monday. We will have it again this year. I have it on the event calendar. The time may change but not by more than an hour. The Vintage Aircraft Assoc. is having a dedication ceremony for the new expansion of the Red Barn on Monday around noon. I want to have it afterwards so we can find one another.

Looks like a tie between Wednesday or Thursday. The decision has been made to have this year's picnic on Thursday 7/27/17 at 12:00 noon CDT. I will add it to the event calendar and start a new thread to see who will be attending. Remember we will be having an ice cream social meet and greet on Monday 7/24.
