Across the USA-flight relay

Would it be in the spirit of the event for someone along the route to ship "the bag" to an Alaska BAC pilot who would fly with it, then ship "the bag" to a Hawaii BAC pilot to fly with (do we have any Mice in Hawaii?), then return it to the next state on the route to continue the XC trek?

It would be great to find a way to include all fifty states if possible!

The banner could be shipped anywhere
We don’t have a time schedule so we can include any state or international country that wants to be included
Would just have to not sit on anything shipped out of country since can’t continue without the banner( maybe we could then just catch up once back, but continue the relay across lower 48
Thinks we need to consider and work out so we can pick a start date and get going

Maybe pick a state date and start knocking off some states while we work the rest out ???

Derek, in Houston, willing to fly 200 miles to anywhere...

I like the idea of signing a BAC flag - and accept that shipping it elswhere to our non-48-contiguous counts! (Mark and Jeff and Jerry are in!!!)

Well if one of them Southern guys in Mississippi or Alabama wants to bring it down to Houston I or Derek (we can toss for it) can take it up to Dallas, or San Antonio with Nelson and then to Dallas or whatever they decide, then the boys there can take it to the next State. I like the idea of the local guys figure it out among themselves,, gives a lot more flexibility for both participation and fun.

C’mon Max,
Why don’t you nick across to Florida to pick it up. You already know the way, and you love doing eight hour legs for a good cause....................and fish tacos!

We have a newer member in south Florida at KFXE ( ft laud exec) that has a Skipper and will probably have the honor to be first plane/leg out
His name is Leonard Lim - haven’t talked to him yet to see how far up the state he wants to fly then turn over to another fly pilot to get to Georgia

I think Leonard has a sport in Chicagoland that will need to get to Fla. He's a student pilot.

This update posted for FASTFRED who is assembling a lot of members who want to have some fun doing this relay.

If somebody from the Northeast is dropping the bag in BGBW, I will promise to coordinate with gonzohop, Jerry N and Beecher to touch down in Europe and back... ;-)

Peter-great idea 💡 we will work this out to include you all plus Mark in Oz
D
Not sure how but Probably Fed Ex/DHL to you then you all could pass on to mark in Oz

Great suggestion and wonderful offer!!

Does anybody have this route ??
I gave my signed book to guy who bought my Sundowner number of years ago

"The Fabulous Flight of the Three Musketeers" is a memoir based upon the development and introduction of a newly-designed airplane. Trading upon the airplane's name, Beech Aircraft Corp. devised in 1962 a 3-airplane, 90-day, 48-state introductory tour -

Best fish tacos are right here in Galveston, the fish tacos at Sharky's (KVNC) are a bit soggy. Plus we got plenty of guys in FLA to do some flying. You need to come over and do some flying here. Marty and you can get into that Mouse he is working on and do a test flight.

How about I do Morgantown WV to Charlottesville, Va and you pick up from there to Kitty Hawk?
Can definitely pick up in Charlottesville and take to KJGG or surrounding area. New Bern is a bit far for my Sport and my budget.
