Charley's is open and in need of customers to consume barbeque.

Who is interested to kick off the first fly in of 2021?

Meet at the airport 12noon

The first one up is probably in Nova Scotia (New Scotland?) or would it be in Ozland.

"The Pacific island of Tonga is first to ring in the New Year and celebrated at 10am GMT on December 31 - making the tiny island nation the first to head into a fresh year."

Does anyone have an airplane there?

Thinking about that some more lots of transoceanic flights should be up in the sky about that time... so they may be first. But who cares of course there is the international Space Nation so they are probably first.

And you didn't know this question that you never asked may be explored when you woke up this AM.

We have astronaut BAC members? Please introduce me.

I'm based at KJGG. Would be awesome to see some BAC Members at a Fly-In here. Our Sport is currently having repairs done @ W96, but would be glad to meet for lunch!

Weather update.

There are two storms heading for the East coast.
the first one rolls through tonight and should clear tomorrow morning sometime.

Using the current forecast as a guide, I won’t be able to get there by 12 noon safely since storm 1 won’t have blow through the north until after I need to leave FWN. Do we have enough interested members to go or should this get rescheduled?

Sunday weather looks worse.

My next opportunity would be Jan 9th Saturday.

I would still be game on tomorrow. Also game on the next one. I plan on a lot of flying and Mid Atlantic events this year!! Thanks for setting this one up Rob !

I am game for tomorrow if it is still on.

The high tech weather channel little icon thingie for weather next Saturday, Jan 9 looks good so far. My "barbeque low" light is flickering. I'm game.

"John, You have been the Director of the Mid Atlantic BAC Region for only one day and you are already usurping Northeast Region events". Rob Staab has posted a fly-in to your region - true. But he is the Airboss of New Jersey which is in the Northeast Region. This event goes in our column.
"This is going to be a long year".
Calendar note - February 13, 2021 is the Ice Runway Fly-In in New Hampshire.

The weather to the north looks like it will blow through. Even if I find that I can’t make it, this event is a go.

I recommend we hold off with a go/no go till the AM . The Mid Atlantic region has a new director along with possible Air Boss Candidates. We will also have in attendance the Washington/DC self appointed AIR CZAR. His name is Oscar Goldman and BAC member call sign BACman. He is an international man of mystery. He is also ready to leave my place and get on with the international BAC relay.

I'll defer to you to make the call given your special passenger.

I am a little concerned. Oscar uses this for weather.

It looks so windy today we won’t even be able to read the weather rock. Just talked with Bob and we are out .:(. Ready for reschedule.

Too windy for the bride to go, it's not worth getting beat up when its supposed to be fun. Count us out for today, maybe on the reschedule date.

I am out too! Weather and work are interfering with a pleasant time... LMK if we are rescheduling. Oscar Goldman, aka BACman, must be mobilized!
