Tuesday morning and BAC from Reklaw. Saw the Sundowner from Houston flying club but didn't catch the pilot. Thought I was the only one there as I didn't see anyone else, sorry I missed anyone. We could only fly in to Waco and had to drive the rest of the way. Then getting home was, of course, 28 knot headwinds all the way.
Turnout was light due to weather. Saturday was cold and low ceiling then blew out to a beautiful day. Some nice fly-by's and a very nice P-51 was overhead for about 30 minutes. Teamed up with a couple Comanchee's for a few go over's. The few RV's, Yak' and Stearman's got up in the afternoon.
It was a tough go getting there and BAC. Got in last night right at sunset with a snow storm coming in and it is here today and for the rest of the week.
I'll get the video's out of the phone and post them later. Maybe they won't be sideways...
That was great from the ground and cool to see from the air, thanks. Met the 51 driver Sunday morning to talk. That things does 60 inches going up at 8,000 FPM. Must have been fun being in that fly by!
