Well BeechDay came and went, after deciding to pick my way through the scud to get between some layers and finally on top at 12K, I finally made it into PSC, where Beechday was just getting underway. Seems like the weather (TS to the n,e,&west) kept many from trying to make it, even in the Bonanza crowd. But 4 BACers made it in, from Bend Oregon Ben Auker and his lovely wife Selena in their A23-19, and John Foster (also from Bend) in his Sierra. SO I am counting Selena as a BACer as well. Seems like mainly a Bonanza event this year, but hey, any reason to go somewhere....right?
A large cell moving south and east from Moses Lake forced me to leave early, with John Foster off just ahead of me. Ben and Selena were hoping to make more of a vacation out of it, so they may have stayed back to spend the night.
So, for me, although a small turnout it was still nice to meet some fellow BACers and put a face with the names.
Thanx Ben, Selena and John for showing up to help represent BAC.
I am certain we will make a good time out of the Arlington event coming up, I am planning a nice dinner for all the volunteers.
