Tour the LEGEND FACITILITY @ SLR on MAY 5

Fly-in SLR

I'm thinking , I should talk Dave into two ship cell from 3AU to SLR. Low cell fly by to single ship landing. Dave will have to talk about it in Witchita Friday over a Margerita.

Well, hey there Bill Franklin. I thought I saw where you were planning on coming. Welcome. It'll be a good sized trip for you won't it?

Any armchair meteoroligists want to take a stab at how our weather is looking May 5?

I'm a new member and will be attending the tour on Saturday. I am returning after a 27 year layoff from flying (now that the kids are almost out of college) and am getting current again and looking to buy a Sundowner or Super III (as soon as my wife agrees). Unfortunately, I am DRIVING since the plane I have been renting is not available on Saturday. Hope to get lots of advice from yall this weekend.
Looks like the weather will be great on Saturday...

Like to come up from San Antonio. Weather Channel shows chance of storms for here, so will have to say I'll get there if it looks like I can get back also! In any case, thanks for setting it up. Hope to see all there.

Good to hear from a couple of our new members. The weather is not calling for rain in Arkansas on Saturday now, we'll just have to see if they get anywhere near reality with their forcasts.

In any case, the tour will continue. We've had at least one person say that they would be driving, or would drive if they couldn't fly, and Bo threatened to bring a boat if he had to as much as its been raining in Texas lately.

I'm looking forward to it...

3+ inches of rain and our neighbor's large cottonwood tree fell in our back yard last night.

Everything else may be 'big in Texas', but they sure don't know what 'big rain' is. Florida gets three inches in a half-hour Summer thunderstorm....

Of course, in FL the rain has somewhere to go. The place is so low and skinny that any excess water just runs off on one side or the other.
