It is Christmas time and the time of giving. For the first 10 BAC members that show up on Saturday they will receive a $10 Sporty's Gift Card. For an added bonus there will be a drawing for a $40 gift card. Rain or shine, fly or drive show up on Saturday for a fun time.

I will definitely be there tomorrow. I have a couple of returns and exchanges I need to complete. As well as do some shopping!

John and I made it to Sporty's along with a guest (Sheryl). It was solid (but easy) IFR the whole way with VOR approaches at both ends (no /G for me yet). The ceilings were 800-1200 and visibility 4-6 depending on location and time of day. I bought a new log book and Sheryl got a shirt. She is also a pilot with an instrument rating but not current with either one. Still, good to have a knowledgeable person looking over my shoulder.

Some may have heard the story ... it turns out that John and I had the same primary instructor for our private and instrument tickets. We flew out of the same airport during that time (20+ years ago) but never met until one of the BAC get togethers at Oshkosh in 2010 (as I recall).
