Come help Santa decide what he needs to bring you for Christmas! Sporty's serves up free hot dogs, brats, and metts every Saturday. Join us at noon (Eastern time) on Saturday, December 19th to browse the store and pick up those last minute "must haves". If you haven't received a catalog lately, check out the website. For those that are interested the Tri-State Warbird Museum is also located on the field. The museum is located on the opposite side of the field from Sporty's.
John, sorry but I am not going to make it to Sporty's. I had a major leak in my left brake. Just got the belly cleaned. We are looking for a new section of line and it won't be together by Saturday.
We had the best weather for this fly-in since we have been hosting it at Sporty’s. Brad Mitchell was unable to get his Sundowner started so he flew with his friend Doug Allen in his Cherokee 140. Both are based at 27K. A couple of other friends of Brad’s arrived in their aircraft from 27K as well. Cy Hanks in his LSA Flight Design and Danny Morrison in his Cessna 182. I met BAC member Glenn Ellerbe for this first time from Butler County (KHAO). He flew in with his Sierra which he has owned for 35 years. Larry and Mary Newland arrived in their Sierra and John Redmon in his Sierra. Lunch was free compliments of Sporty’s Pilot Shop.
