Good food served country style and live Bluegrass. $18 per person les tax and gratuity (bring cash). The Appalachian Mountains are a beautiful place to visit http://www.shatleysprings.com have a look, this place has a lot of history and it's hard to beat Western NC hospitality.

A really nice looking airport ... with a new 5,000 ft runway to boot! Sweet. A little far for me ....

My 2 cents on these events (worth what you paid for it) - - - - please include the name of the location's state! Although - - it is kinda fun needing to google each location.

Maybe we should just tell Alan that's when it's scheduled and no one show up.......like last time! (but that was really due to weather) :)
BTW Alan, that's Tar Heel country, so they might not like your Tennessee Vols paint scheme. I've been careful not to wear my Wildcat blue when I've visited before.

Hey Donald, I thought I could bump this to the top and also thank you, Mike and Alan for explaining how to do the signature. Ten year member and I just figured it out. :)
 
My plane's in annual and not going to be out in time. I hate that I'm going to miss it this year...although, I'll believe you guys make it only when I see photographic evidence!

Hate to hear it Alan. Just get JP to pick you up on his way over. I bet he can get you there with out your ears popping.
 
I'm still planning on Shatley Springs on Sunday. Will need it to remain VFR as I'm not instrument current right now. I'll bring my camera just for you, Alan!
 
Weather not so promising for me either. Plus my wife remembered she has to be back home by 3pm, so looks like we won't be able to make the trip. One of these days the stars will align and we'll have a big turnout at Shatley Springs!
