Around The Moon
As Steve said, we had 6 people in 3 airplane at Paola. It was a beautiful day and this was my first time to fly to this fly-in in the four years we have had it. Weather prevented it the other times. Here are a few pics:
Left to right: Steve Powers, Linda Nielsen, Tom Braag, Rebecca, Katrina, and Mike Nielsen
I want to thank Steve and Tom for giving their passengers rides in their respective planes. Katrina is a co-worker of Steve's at the F-15 manufacturing plant in St. Louis. Steve lives in Florissant, MO. Rebecca is a good friend of Tom and his wife, Lisa, of Coralville, IA. Many of you know that Tom is very active in Pilots & Paws. He actually fit this flight into one of his missions. After the fly-in, he and Rebecca stayed behind waiting for another plane coming from the south to relay a dog to him for transportation. Keep up the good work Tom.
Steve and Tom had a lot to discuss about stab trim tab issues.
Mike and LInda flew to Lee's Summit airport on the southeast side of Kansas City and stayed to watch a game between the Kansas City Royals and the Baltimore Orioles. K.C. prevailed 4 to 3 in a very good game. Our seats were in the 3rd row.
