Aug 24thm (Sunday) FLY .... DINE .... SAIL !! Grove, Oklahoma - - KGMJ

Plan to arrive at the airport (KGMJ - Grove, Oklahoma) - at about 11:00 am and we will head to town for lunch. Depending on the weather, we will get our lunch "to-go" and eat at the shady marina dock - OR - just have lunch in airconditioned comfort. Then (weather dependent, again) we will load up on one of the fleet sailboats and explore the lake (Grand Lake) for 2 or 3 hours, and swim to cool off if you wish. Open schedule to assist your flight plans returning home.

Nelson - just left you a voicemail. I'm at the airport now and N2044L is ready to fly to GMJ tomorrow morning. I plan to arrive around 10:00 local.

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it this weekend. Nelson, we are building a cabin just outside Poteau, KRKR so maybe we can meet up another time.

Nelson and I had a great time playing with the ever changing breeze on Grand Lake. I even attempted to wind surf!

Since Jay arrived early (10 am) we headed straight to the marina to sail. Took out the smaller boat (25 ft vs. the 30 ft I had reserved) since there was just two of us. Occasional winds were fun, then it was back to the docks for wind surfer lessons. Excellent. Jay and I both got wet, thus the car-clothes-drying-rack during our BBQ lunch in town.

I overflew the sailboat club marina on the way home Sunday afternoon. We both were wheels up about 3:30 pm. Great times ! I am hoping more will join in the next time.

Nelson thanks for the invite and the hospitality. I made it back from FWB today after taking the long way around and getting the full tour of Arkansas.
