Monticello (KMXO) Fly-in

We 10SM VIS here, but the METAR for CID is 3/4, I am going to hold up until I see the fog start to lift. The TAF is for it to be gone at 8AM

KCID is reporting LIFR for visibility. KMXO is MVFR with 4SM visibility (improved since 0545). KDBQ is VFR. All are forecast to improve between 8 and 9am.

I realized yesterday that my medical expired in July. I was tempted to go anyway but if something happened I don’t want a bad mark on my record. I received my medical in November 5 years ago I didn’t know they put the date of the exam on there. Basicmed here I come.

We had three Super III’s and two Sierra’s today at Monticello. Kurt & Jane were surprise attendees from Springfield, IL Jim & Adalyn came from Dubuque in 3630Q. Dave Gribble, Tom & Lisa Bragg, and Denis & Kathryn met at Cedar Rapids and did a flight of three Musketeers to KMXO. We missed Kyle, but think he made a good choice in not attending. Attached are some pictures.
