Last BAC Picnic on the Flightline at AirVenture July 28th

I finally got some pictures uploaded to the Photo Gallery. They are in a sub folder in the East Central Fly-Ins folder.

Please upload your photos if you have any!

Thx again this year to our hosts and those who pitched in to make the picnic a big success. Highlight of a great few days of aviation overload. Try to make it if you have not been there yet!
I was chatting with Allison at the LoPresti booth on Wednesday and determined that she had not been invited to the picnic! We both determined "whats up with that?" Our members bought a bunch of SpeedCoat from them (and her) and isn't that where the Hubba Hubba caps come from also? Anyhow, Allison is as delightful in person as she is on the phone, and if she is available next year, and if there is another picnic, perhaps she'd accept an invite from the BAC. Never too early to start planning!

I met her, too - after the picnic, and she is a nice lady!

She'll definitely get a personal invite next year, though I think she is a BAC member and should have gotten the posts about the picnic.

Whew...........it's Friday again, a much needed week of decompression from our time spent in Oshkosh.......

Druanne and I ended up spending the entire week up there during AirVenture. We were home only on Monday, did some work and blasted off to arrive again before dinner. We did not leave again until we packed up on Sunday.

Tuesday at the picnic was definately a highlight. Absolutely an annual MUST for a very different perspective on the airshow. We were spoiled and didn't really care for the shows the following days........... We had fun meeting fellow BAC'ers and even our own BAC President!!! It was great to meet other's as well, like Bob Lewis, Ron, Bobby Lee, Larry Last, and more that I can't remember (ummm, Oshkosh+beer=memory loss) :D

Meeting Gene Nora was a treat, what an inspirational lady! I hope her husband Bob was able to figure out the camper pump out procedure! :)

So, after having NOT been to Oshkosh since 1995, we ended up camping all week. We took care of the T-37 "Tweet" that was in the show and flew in the showcase on Saturday and was judged on Tuesday........we found out on Saturday that 'our' airplane, the T-37, won Judges Choice for "Best Jet" ! We were thrilled as were the 'real' owners. There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears invested into that plane to get it to Oshkosh and to win was the icing on the cake! So, of course, we celebrated!!!!

It is amazing what one little Musketeer did to our lives in a short year..........now we wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Here are some pictures..........................enjoy!!
