A few of is went last year and it was a great little event... Come out and enjoy the day - very cool little community airport... Must have had 50 planes or so show up...

2014 Smoketown Airport Fly-in
August 9
Smoketown Airport is pleased to announce that we will be having our 2014 Fly-In on Saturday, August 9* from 8am-3pm. All pilots and aviation enthusiasts are invited and encouraged to attend. Each year we've had record attendances with our excellent food, informative seminars, and fun for the whole family.

Come out and make the 2014 Fly-In our best fly-in yet!
 
Looking forward to it. Checked my calendar, I'm on vacation that week so it should work out. Runway in your photo looks a little short for 2400'. Must be the angle. :confused:
 
Hi John,

Yeah - LOL - might be my steep approach - the ground rises in the foreground - the approach end is sitting down in a hole... The runway has a relatively steep uphill grade and plateaus at the far end... I landed a little long - right about at the second taxiway - didn't want to stomp the brakes so blew past #3 and made #4... It was really busy when I arrived - planes everywhere - keep your head on a swivel...
