Nancy and I were really looking forward to coming down. I had the time off from work too. Of course, mother nature with snow showers in Penn Yan NY was having no part of it. Hopefully will see most of you in October at the BAC Fest. Pat Long
Another tribute to my management skills.
A successful fly-in at Smoketown, Pennsylvania.
Motivating Alan White to schedule this event in the Northeast Region was not difficult.
Even though I didn't lift a finger, I prevailed and Alan did a great job.
And thanks Alan for filling in for me as the round trip from Boston would have been almost 6 hours for my Sundowner.
This is a great club and I'm so glad we attracted both old and new members to the beautiful Northeast United States.
Remember, any BAC member can schedule an event anywhere when you coordinate with the region's director.
Tom Corcoran, Regional Director ME NH VT MA RI CT NY NJ and Smoketown, Pennsylvania
Thanks sO mUcH for the warm Smoketown welcome! We were simply hoping to get a closer look at the Sundowner (which we did - thank you Les!) but we were also asked to join the group for lunch, which we very much enjoyed.
I just joined BAC and we hope to soon be finalizing our Sundowner purchase. We feel it's the perfect airplane for our mission.
Look forward to meeting other fine club members in the future!
Terry
PS... I still can't get over that ultralight that was flying in those gusty winds!
It was a Fly-In-By-Coincidence on Tuesday January 7, 2020.
Members Dave Singleton, Tom Corcoran and Don Manson found themselves at the same pilot meeting at the Northeast Florida Airport in St. Augustine. Dave and Don belong to the same national group of Gentle Birdmen and Tom was visiting.

Lest any members think that Alan White is flaming me on this thread.. he's not and we are good friends.
We flew to Wyoming together in September. I helped him out a lot to get there and back safely.
Alan knows well that I spoke to the SE Region director about the fly-in weeks ago.
The date was uncertain and I wanted to be sure that we could make it at a firm time on a firm date.
Lest we dip into the club treasury unnecessarily we decided to absorb the dinner cost as individuals. (It was free that night).
So Alan has learned a lot since he has been my protege and I think in a few years he will get the knack of all this.
