Gastons 2007

I hope everyone is having a great time. I wanted to be there so bad. But I have been in Montreal on the delivery of a new Challenger 300 business jet for 10 days. We got the new aircraft to San Antonio at 2230 Thursday night and I got home late last night for a couple of days, before returning to San Antonio, on Monday for two weeks. Poor people have to work my mother always said. I am worn out and glad to be home.

We flew over Pine Bluff, AR 2200 Thrusday night at FL450 doing .80 Mach from Burlington, Vermont (U S Customs stop) to San Antonio. I was thinking about the Sikes, their beautiful Sierra and the Pine Bluff stories they told at BAC FEST.

Gene & Becky are home safe after a wonderful day at Gaston's with Jay Bruce, Dean Sykes and Mike Rellihan and their lovely ladies. (And the SkyeMaster too of course!)

I landed on grass (and took off too!! ) from there this year (first time on grass for me), Cloyd would have been proud to see that. Sorry you couldn't make it; but hope to see all of you at the first BAC flyin of the 2008 New Year.

Everyone have a wonderful holiday season!!

We had a great time too. I'm sure that Mike and Dean will get to see many more interesting planes in and out at Gastons tomorrow.

Thanks for the fish Mike, and thanks for showing me where to look when I'm wondering about corrosion in the wing. We've heard so much about it, but I didn't know what to look for internally.

Happy Anniversary Mike and Paula, and thanks to everyone that was able to come.

Gastons 2007 Pictures are now in the photo gallery. Look under south central fly in's.

Thanks for Paula for snapping the photos. I'm pretty sure that my daughters camera we were trying to use isn't going to make it to TBO...

For the 4th year in a row, the weather was perfect for flying, lying, and whatever else goes on at a fly in.

Besides swapping stories and enjoying the great food, we also got a hands on look at the wing spar and advice for looking for corrosion as directed by Mike

Enjoy the photos, hope to see you next year.
