FLY - - SAIL - - EAT ! Grove, OK Sept 13th

Arrive by 10:30 am Sunday morning, Sept 13th. We'll load up in Nelson's Subaru and the airport crew car (if needed) for the 20 minute drive to the Sailing Club. Then a 45 minute sail over to the Drunken Rooster Bar and Grill where we tie up the boat and enjoy a lunch. We'll get you back to the airport at 3:30 pm. A great way to warm up the plane for your trip to BAC*Fest the following weekend.

I had such a great time last year and would love to do it again. I currently have a hole in my panel where my Aspen should be. That is scheduled to be back end of Aug to early Sept.

We have rain forecast for tomorrow starting at 10am and to add to that, rain is forecast everyday from tomorrow to next Sunday with 4” forecast for Tuesday-Wednesday. I maybe driving to BACFest, leave as early as Monday, and I am not ready.
I am going to have to cancel out for tomorrow. Everyone have fun and I will see Nelson at BACFest.

Denis, thanks for the update. I will be at the Grove airport tomorrow morning since I landed there on Wednesday. I am currently only 65 miles away at an Corvair meeting in Arkansas. Others …. Please let me know your arrival plans when possible.

If the weather looks bad next week, I also will be driving to BACFEST. Well … at least I am 1/3 of the way from San Antonio and I am betting my little Subaru that lives at the Grove OK airport can make the trip!

The Blake family is still on. We are at our Oklahoma property and will be flying out of KRKR in Poteau Sunday morning to arrive before 10:30.
