Fly-in at Danielson, Connecticut. KLZD

This Saturday, November 19, 2022. Meet about 11:00. Depart about 2:00.

Ken Cook, the Airboss of Connecticut is the host and organizer.

Humble BAC door prizes will be awarded. Most likely a BAC lunch or, at least, Purina-Pilot-Chow.

Agenda is mostly hangar talk and flying lies. Meet new and old friends.

This may be the final Northeast fly-in for 2022. Maybe not.

This is only a few days away.

N6014L will be there... A/C is now a Member of the club! If any of you see her... Give her a once over!  I believe she is the only Sierra on the field, but may be in the Maintenance Hangar if they have not completed the work.

Reminder... just to bump this message to the top.

SATURDAY IS DANIELSON, CONNECTICUT.

Northeast fly-in at KLZD. Meet 11:00am. Humble BAC door prizes. Hangar talk. Purina-Pilot-Chow.

What do I see in that Sundowner?

I'll definitely be in the air Saturday - I'm hoping to get there, but 11AM start for me is pretty late.  It doesn't get me home until 4PM which is no bueno for the wifey.

But I'll try.

OK, I will bite - What is Purina Lunch? I will be there. Should I bring my own food? When I ran a division of Stone Container, Purina was my largest account.

DANIELSON, CONNECTICUT FLY-IN SUCCESS.

Six member planes (maybe) in attendance. Weather was wonderful clear and calm. Purina-Pilot-Chow (pizza) was served by Ken Cook, who organized the event. Everyone received a humble BAC door prize. Gerry Sykes, gave a tour of the repair facilities at LZD. He is the president of New England Aero Services which holds the distinction of being only one of three sanctioned repair facilities in the US for aircraft fuel tanks.

Member attendees included Steve Cote (7B2), Bob Kittine (KHTO), Ken Cook (KLZD), Dan Dicker (KHWV), Loy Riley (3B0), Dan McIntyre (4B8), Tom Corcoran (1B9). Many guests also enjoyed the fly-in.

Now I know what Purina Chow is, at least as it relates to Pilots and Fly Ins. In any case, it was a fun time and nice to meet up with old friends and make some new ones. Hope to try for Montauk again after Thanksgiving.

Thank you everyone for coming to Danielson I will give out more English muffin removers at the next flyin

Good time.

Lunch was in the Danielson FBO jump prep room -- where I spied this poster on the wall.

Sorry, maybe I'm alone, but I almost fell down laughing..........20221119_130506.jpg
