As of right now it looks to be a 3:40 flight round trip. I’llbe there ceilings permitting. I think it supposed to be broken. Double check in the morning. Anyone looking for some comic relief should ask to be paired with me. For you hardcore golfers it might be too painful to bear.

Winston is still to low. Hope everyone is having fun. Guess I'll have to go hunt squirrels with a riffle instead of golf balls.

I was about 30 miles out and it was solid overcast. The nearest nice ILS was at Charlottesville, so we did a precautionary landing there to minimums. Called John and he said, "it's clear here!". Oh well, better safe than sorry. :) Had to file another flight plan to get out, but were in the clear in like ten minutes. 9 holes of golf, excellent lunch and camaraderie and some cake to top it off. Back home, we were going to stop at New Market for gas, but there was sky-diving going on, so we ended up at Shenandoah. Very nice airport. Back home with a headwind, but no turbulence. Full moon on overcast was just beautiful. Thanks John and the folks at Sky Bryce for another Musketeer Adventure! Pics up at http://poitras.org/gallery2/v/don/iphone/catandmouse/

John P,

Seriously John? Is that all you can come up with? Two fireworks displays, grilling out twice, a fly-out, another fly-out over a 4th of July parade, a golf tournament, a museum tour, a vintage aircraft airshow and a party at a bar. I'm worried that your energy level is slipping. I was hoping for an action-packed 4th of July weekend, not this lame plan of events.

Amen! To that Bob. John has zero imagination. But what ever he plans, you can count on many diversions and course corrections before arriving at the originally planned destination. He is pure chaos with a couple shots of adrenalin thrown in for good measure. He has planned a whole BACfest for the July 4 weekend.

What ever you do !!! Do not attend a fly in with out your better half . My wife decided to hang with the second most interesting man in the world when I attended the Cat and Mouse fly in.Thanks to Glenn for getting me home IFR to break up this party.
